It says Mike Ness approved. This is the same ebay seller that has sold some of Mikes other stuff like his gretsch and another goldtop. Check it out!

i bet anything the seller is donny nemarnik. look at the user name. isn't donny a native american? coincidence.
I sure as hell wouldn't pay that much for a 70's Les Paul Deluxe. He's most likely using Mike's name to jack up the price a bit.
Just cause the guy says its mike ness approved doesnt mean a whole lot to me.
This is a dime a dozen.
It's only worth what someone's willing to pay. There's some big names dropped in that ad and a pro-refret job on a bound fingerboard isn't cheap. Hate to sound like a dad (I'm not), but if you're on this board and interested in something like this, do your homework... you owe that to yourself or learn the hard way.
I emailed the guy who is selling the goldtop. He said Mike Ness never owned the guitar but he is a good friend of his and he played it and liked it, but then decided he didnt need another goldtop. This ebay seller did sell some other Mike Ness used equipment before such as a gretsch and some pickups and a used Ness Goldtop with the Orange county and Clay Smith Cams sticker on it. So none the less if you bought the guitar. You could say Mike atleast played it, just never at a show or anything lol. Oh well.. Still a nice guitar none the less!

I'm sure Mike has played many guitars that he liked, but his name wasn't used to boost the price.
This reminds me of that Seinfeld episode when George buys that Chrysler that was supposedly owned by Jon Voight. haha
